The Report Says That She Was Highly Passionate About the Riding a Bike, and According to Her, She Used to Feel Independent While Riding. She Has an 8-year-old Kid Left Behind Her. According to the Eye Witnesses, the Accident Was Terrible and Caused Due to the Pothole on the Road.
The potholes on the roads have claimed many lives in the past, but the government does not seem to be doing much about it. Our progressive government talks about Digital India, but unable to sort out the basic issues faced by the society. This accident could have been averted, only if, the concern authorities had patched the potholes on the road.
According to the sources, a 35-year-old Jagruti Hogale from Bandra Mumbai was riding her Bike along with two of her club members in the outskirts of Mumbai, when the deadly accident took place, said the sources. She was out with the group of friends on a biking spree.
The police reports revealed that Jagruti was in the process of overtaking the truck which was running parallel to her, hit the pothole on the road and she came under the rear wheels of the truck and died on the spot, said the sources.
According to the reports in Mid Day, Biker Jagruti Hogale, 35, wanted “to fly”, “do something different”, and live her life to the fullest. And in pursuing that passion, the mother of an eight-year-old died a tragic road accident.
“Why should I stop riding a bike? It’s my passion. I feel independent when I am riding… I feel like I am flying. I come from a conservative family; they keep saying ‘don’t ride a bike, you will fall and break your hands and legs; nobody will marry you’. But I want to do more with my life, something different… I want to live my life to the fullest.” This is what Hogale had said in a promotional video of her biking club Bikerni a year ago.
In fact, she was right on her track unaware of the fact that roads in Maharashtra are full of potholes and in the rainy days it becomes deadly. It is advisable to be extra careful, especially while riding the two wheelers as the smallest miscalculations could become fatal.
Meanwhile, Urvashi Pathole, a founder of Bikerni Club said that Jagruti was an experienced biker and that she had been biking for the past three years. According to Bikerni members, Hogale specialized in medium and long rides. She had covered Leh-Ladakh and even ridden on the world’s highest motorable road on Khardung La in Ladakh. but she lost her life due to the pothole. “The bike skid and she slipped in front of the truck, which ran over her,” said Urvashi Pathole.
However, another report claims that the trio was on their way to Jawhar on Mumbai Ahmadabad highway. The accident occurred near Veti village about 100KM always from Mumbai on a Sunday morning. It was around 9 AM and heavily raining due to which Jagruti could not see the pothole until she reached very close it and to save the pothole she swerved left and fell under the rear wheels of a truck running parallel.
The police arrested the truck driver under the section 304 (A) of IPC for Causing death by negligence and section 279 of IPC for Rash Driving. “We have seized the truck and are investigating the cause of her death,” said the police sources.
According to the reports, Jagruti Hogale, a resident of Kher Nagar in Bandra East was an athlete and a sportswoman. She is survived by her 8-year-old son and a husband who is a real estate agent. According to Jagruti’s friends, she was an active participant in various social activities, and she also played a Dhol cultural programs and associated with Morya Dhol Tasha Pathak. “She was an achiever and an athlete by nature. She used to swim, run marathons and climb mountains. She had enrolled in our classes last year to play dhol,” said Ratankant Jagtap, founder of the Pathak.
Jagruti was a full of life kind of personality and her husband always supported her in all her endeavors. According to the sources, before getting married Jagruti used to ride a Pulsar and after marriage, her husband gifted her a Bullet.
