Two separate incidents befell in the Vikrabad and Yodadri Bhuvanagiri districts of Telangana, where six people, including a newlywed bride, were washed away in overflowing streams.
Due to the heavy rain, six people, including a newlywed couple, got stuck in a stream on their way back to Ravulaplli.
The bridegroom and his sister managed to hold onto a tree branch. However, the rest of the four people got washed away by the stream.
On Monday, the bodies of the bride, Pravalika, and the bridegroom’s sister were recovered.
In a separate incident at Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, two girls have washed away in an overflowing stream known as Dosala Vaagu in Kurraram.
They were riding pillion on a two-wheeler which got stuck in the stream.
The man who was riding the bike was able to save himself, albeit the girls got washed away by the water.
Police are trying their best to locate and rescue the missing victims.
