According to the latest ranking released by Financial Times for Masters in Management (MIM), six Indian institutes have grabbed their positions in the list of 100 institutes across the globe.
The University of St Gallen in Switzerland has topped this list making it the most desired one by the students. This university from Switzerland has maintained its position in the Financial Times 2021 for the 11th year in a row.
IIM-Ahmedabad from India has also had a steady pace in the list.
In the top 50 from across the world, three Indian B-Schools have entered the list. IIM-Ahmedabad grabs the first position as the best B-School in India and the 26th Rank across the world.
According to the Education Ministry’s NIRF ranking, which was also released recently, IIM-Ahmedabad has been ranked as the best B-school in India. The college has been selected for its two-year postgraduate program in management.
S P Jain Institute of Management and Research(SPJIMR) has bagged the second rank among the business schools from India to enter the Financial Times for PG Diploma in management.
IIM-Bangalore has been the third entry to enter the Financial Times for PGP in Management.
Once the list is released, many students reconsider their choice of studying abroad as B-Schools from India itself have got good ranks among many top universities of the world.

The FT Ranking parameters have been broadly classified into Alumni Career Progress, School Diversity and International Experience & Research. These criteria were further categorized into 21 criteria.
These included the number of participants enrolled, company internships, average course length, etc.
Prof Himanshu Rai, director, IIM Indore was elated as he noted that their institute would be completing its 25 years in October 2021.
“We have been ranked in the Top 100 FT Rankings for our Post Graduate Programme in Management; and are the third amongst IIMs and the fourth business school in the nation to be listed among the top-100. We now aim to be in the Top 50 and will ensure working harder for the same,” He said sharing his delight over the rankings.
Apart from IIM-Ahmedabad and IIM-Bangalore, the new generation IIM Udaipur is the third IIM to have held a spot in the top 100 for the third consecutive year.
IIM Udaipur has shown a good performance as now it has also featured in the recently released National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2021 of the HRD Ministry in the Top 20 Management Institutes in India once again, with a score of 60.94.
